JULY 20th, 2010

All kinds of good things are coming down the pipe. John Fahr and Andy Lehman are hard at work on new material for the next album, and the results are proving to be incredible. We also have a new band member, TJ LaCasse who we are all very excited about, and love jamming with.

A bunch of stuff is about to change on the site in a good way. We are going to make the download page easier to navigate, as well get a bunch of new pictures up. Keep checking back for new shows as well. We are starting to book stuff for the fall, and want to come play for you! So check to see when we'll be in your area and come hang out with us! .

Also. We are making changes to the website. All kinds of good things are happening. If you see something that looks out of place, or seems to be missing, hold tight. We are improving the whole thing. Stay tuned for new downloads, new shows, and much more! .

Here is a new song called "Porcelain" that has just been written. It's just an acoustic and vocal, but you should get the idea. Our gift to you. Download it here. .

JUNE 6th, 2010

The podcast I mentioned earlier in the week, "And Begin Show", has been posted on their website. I was a guest on this week's episode. You can read all about the podcast, as well as listen to all of the episodes at www.andbeginshow.com . Or you can download the podcast off of iTunes . I was a special guest on episode 17. I'm good friends with the show's host Marty Winsch, and was extended the invite on Memorial Day (being the show's number 1 fan) to be a guest. I immediately accepted, hopped into the Nightmover, and made my way "across the bridge" (385 bridge) to the recording session.

The Nightmover was an instant hit at the session, and will be used on June 19th to carry Dean (one of the shows personalities) to the Goodies show at the Handlebar. The catch though is that Dean will be wearing a Boy Scout uniform. And pulling up to the Goodies show in the Nightmover will be the icing on the cake. I encourage you all to be at the show to witness it all happening.

Happy Sunday.

JUNE 1st, 2010

Andy Lehman speaking. I had the EXTREEM pleasure of being a guest on MY FAVORITE PODCAST on Monday. The show that I took part in (and of course drove the Night Mover to) hasn't been posted yet. But when it has I will make sure to post a link to it here.

MAY 31st, 2010

We had fun on Saturday night playing at the Emerald Lounge in Asheville with the Enemy Lovers. Those guys are fun to be around, and they are incredible musicians. We have more dates to be posted soon, so stay tuned. New songs are on their way as well!

A great thing for me (Andy) on Saturday night was getting to see the producer of "Landline" (our first record), and hang out with him for a little while. His name is Holiday Childress and he lives in Asheville. He is a very good friend of mine and one of the best performers I have ever seen. Check out his band THE GOODIES . If you live in Greenville, they are playing at the Handlebar on June 19th. I promise this show will change your (musical) life.

MAY 22nd, 2010

We had practice today and decided that it was as good a time as any to sit around a cell phone and make an acoustic video of a new song of ours called Make It Home.

You can watch it below (again... it was recorded on a cell phone. Don't judge the quality too hard). You can also download the demo we made for this song HERE .

MAY 15th, 2010

Andy here. So... Hillcrest High School in Simpsonville, SC just performed one of our songs (An Arrow Flew) at their spring concert. I can't tell you how flattered we all are about it. What an honor for a bunch of super-talented students to sing one of YOUR songs. I was so excited about it that I had them reserve me a seat on the front row so I could go video it (below). They did a GREAT job on it, and it just blows my mind that they would choose to perform our song.

I also want to let you all know that the extremely talented Matt Rexford adapted the song for a choral performance, and I have to give him some major props on hitting a grand slam with the arrangement.

We'd like to give a big thanks to Jennifer Martin (HHS choir teacher) and the Hillcrest Choir for doing such a phenomenal job performing "An Arrow Flew". Thank you guys so much for the honor of singing our song. Check out the video below!

MAY 10th, 2010

Well this weekend was a weekend of firsts for sure. We found out that our band trailer was stolen. We are not happy about this for obvious reasons.... Due to the criminal nature of this case and the sensitivity of the ongoing investigation, we will not discuss the events that have unfolded, until a resolution has been reached...

But let's just make ONE thing clear: YOU DON'T MESS WITH THE NIGHT MOVES.

We are very grateful to Mark Gresham and the good people at Mt. Zion for many things. One of which was letting us borrow their trailer for a trek down to Charleston for a show that we had on Saturday night.

On a ligther note... Steve Night Move was the first band member other than Andy to take the helm of the Night Mover. We have taken video of this developement for archiving purposes. Please see the footage below.

MAY 8th, 2010

I'll tell you what's NOT cool. Having your trailer stolen.

Sincerely,

Andy Lehman

MAY 5th, 2010

We just added a show with The Enemy Lovers in Asheville on May 29th. We love these guys and can't wait to play with them again! If you're in the greater Asheville area, come be electrified, and have your head blown off by a wall of rock n' roll, as we and the Enemy Lovers set the night ablaze.

We also have shows in the works for Atlanta, Charlotte, Columbia, and Greenville. So stay tuned. They will be posted shortly.

MAY 3rd, 2010

Andy here. Man. You gotta hate hearing about your friends breaking down on the side of the road. But when it happens in your town and it means you get to hang out with them, it sure does sweeten the deal. The other morning I got to hang out with some friends,Tyler and Parker, from Crowfield . It was great just to spend time on the porch with them while their van was being worked on. If you've never had the pleasure of experiencing their music, you really should. All you G-villains out there should come check them out at the Handlebar this Thursday night. I'm going, and I'm really excited about it.

Then, LATER this week, we will be in Crowfield's neck of the woods playing in Charleston at the Tin Roof. We take the stage at 10 pm on Saturday night, and we would enjoy the pleasure of your company if you're around.

APRIL 29th, 2010

Charleston, SC, we are coming at last! Get ready! We'll be hitting the stage at 10 pm at the Tin Roof next Saturday night May 8th! We are so excited to finally be coming back! We are playing that night with Caleb Caudle and the Bayonets if you want to check them out.

Also, we are hard at work on new material (even though many of you are just now discovering "Lowcountry"), and we are VERY excited about it. We are junkies for songwriting and we can't seem to stop writing new material! So your feedback is always welcome if you want to drop us a line with your thoughts on the songs. As our fans, we want to listen to you and hear your thoughts about the next direction we are heading with our new songs. We released (for free download) ONE DEMO that many of you are freaking out over and sending us nice messages about, and we will soon be releasing another. So stay tuned, and keep checking in right here because that's where it will be when we make it available for download!

APRIL 26th, 2010

The Night Mover has many uses outside of transporting Andy Lehman & The Night Moves.....

For excample, it has been known to transport people to and from river excursions....

APRIL 24th, 2010

We have been getting so many great compliments about our new demo "Make It Home". If you haven't had the chance to listen to it yet, please feel free to download it now .

Also, the Night Mover (our band "van") now has it's own Twitter account and it's HILARIOUS. Start following it immediately.

APRIL 18th, 2010

We have had some fun this last week! Wednesday night we got to play with Jay Clifford at the Handlebar in Greenville. Jay is one of my (Andy) favorite songwriters, and it was really cool hanging out with him at the show. What a great guy too. I can't speak highly enough of him.

On Friday night we played with Sequoyah Prep School in Clemson. Those guys are good, genuinely authentic, people, and a lot of fun to be around. We had fun taking turns sliding "Burt Reynolds" style across the hood of the Night Mover. You really can't beat that. On Saturday night I went and opened for them at the Puddin Swamp Festival and that was an absolute BLAST. Funnel cakes, carnival rides and lights, dirtbike riding at the Sequoyah Prep farm house. Good times indeed.

Also.. a cool little tidbit for you here. These people are our first out of towners(that we are aware of) to drive 2+ hours to see us play. They drove from Charlotte to Clemson for our show on Friday night with Sequoyah Prep School. So with their permission we wanted to spotlight them on the news feed here.

APRIL 13th, 2010

Wednesday night + Jay Clifford + Andy Lehman & The Night Moves + The Handlebar = BLISS
